Project work does not stop at the office. During a customer visit, on site, or between meetings, it can be useful to see the active task, start working time, or record completed work straight away. When an entry is left until later, the details have to be reconstructed from memory.

Mobile is part Hourglass product development from the start. When Hourglass is released, a native mobile app will be released alongside the web service. Planned daily workflows include starting and ending the workday, timing a task, recording project hours, and checking your own day and week.

The mobile app will use the same project, task, and time data as the Hourglass web service. A record made on the move can therefore be connected to the right task and project. Working time and project-specific time entries remain distinct records, even when they are used in the same workflow.
